The Harry Potter TAG!

The lovely Simona at Sky's Book Corner did this tag last week and suggested that I might be interested in doing it. She knows me well because as a huge Potterhead I thought this tag was perfect so here it is!

1) What is your favourite book?

My favourite book is The Prisioner of Azkaban for two reasons. The first one is because with this book I became both a bookworm and a potterhead. I had liked the two previous books but with The Prisioner I fell totally in love with HP world. I re-read it immediately, taking the book with me everywhere, spending lunches and dinners ignoring my family while I read. And the second reason is because of one character: Sirius. I am a big fan of him, he was so good to Harry's parents and I hated so much Peter Pettigrew for how he betrayed him and his friends!

2) What is your favourite film?
Now, my favourite movie is actually not The Prisioner of Azkaban because while I was reading the book I pictured this Catalan musician who used to sing in my favourite band when I was teen as Sirius. So it was a bit of a shock when the actor who played him looked nothing like I had pictured him. I got over it over the years but I must confess I was a bit angry with the casting director for a while!
Anyway my favourite film is The Globet of Fire, I loved the images of the Quidditch World Cup and also the image of Lord Voldermort going back to life will stay with me forever as one of the most frightning moments of my life.

3) What is your least favourite book?
The Chamber of Secrets, sorry but giant spiders and giant snakes in the same book? No thanks. Plus Tom Riddle was a douchbag.

4) What is your least favourite film?
Again, The Chamber of Secrets for the same reasons. Also, let's not forget Gilderoy Lockhart. What kind of professor against the dark arts was that? Dumbledore here didn't do his research before employing him. In this case the casting director scored a goal though.

5) Parts of the books/films that made you cry
My top 3 would be:
1) The death of Sirius
2) The death of Dobby
3) The death of Fred

6) If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?
Sirius. I just love him. So much.

7) Who is your favourite character?
Sorry to be unoriginal here but my favourite character is Hermione. She is without a doubt the strongest one of the three and she teaches us so much about friendship and standing up for what you belive. I also loved the Weasley twins, they always added the perfect funny spark to the stories.

8) Who is your least favourite character?
Peter Pettigrew, with Bellatrix in a close second. The first for being this weak creature with no capacity to do anything good or brave and the second for being evil, crazy evil.

9) What is your least favourite line?
The only line I can think of that I didn't like seeing at all is:

10) What would your patronus be?
According to this quiz, my patronus is a Hare, like Luna. I had never thought about it but I'm fine with the result. She was one of the most honest and brave characters and she held a spot in my heart.

11) If you could have the resurrection stone, invisibility cloak or elder wand, which would it be?
The invisibilty cloak, without a doubt. The elder wand would be too much power and I wouldn't feel confortable with it and well it is never a good idea to get stucked on the past, never letting go of the ones that have left us.

12) Which House would you be in?
According to Pottermore, I would be a Huffelpuff, which is the friendliest, most decent and most tenacious house of them all. So I don't complain, even if our quidditch skills leave a lot to be desired.

13) If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?
Can I say all of them? Difficult to choose but I guess if I had to choose it would be Emma Watson or Rupert Grint because they have two of the most important roles and would have so many stories to tell me about filming all the movies but also because they seem to be really nice and clever in the real life, I'm sure we could talk forever.

14) If you were on the Quidditch team, which position would you play?
I'd be a keeper. I'd rather be on the back watching all the action instead of taking part in it.

15) Were you happy with the ending?
Yes, I obviously wasn't happy with all the deaths but I understood that some had to die during that battle, it wouldn't have been realistic if everyone would have survived. And then, I think we needed some sort of closure, to be sure that they would have a happy life in the future, and that's exactly what J.K. gave us. Perfect.

16) How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
I probably wouldn't be the person I am today without it, it played a huge role on my early teens and gave me invaluable moments.

So if you are a Potterhead too, go for it and do the tag it was so much fun writing it and remembering so many moments and characters!
