All I Want for Christmas is a hilarious and heartwarming Christmas romance from Joanna Bolouri, the author of The List, and perfect for fans of Beth O'Leary's The Flatshare, Sophie Cousens' This Time Next Year and Marian Keyes' Grown Ups.

Blurb: What if the love of your life was your best friend's girl? The sparkling Christmas romance to pick you up this year...

When Nick loses his job and is dumped by his glamorous but demanding girlfriend, he is forced to grudgingly accept work as a Santa at a local Christmas grotto. As his friends are getting married or promoted, Nick spends his days being terrorised by unfriendly elves and cried on by snotty, spoiled children.

Then he meets 4-year-old Alfie. All Alfie wants for Christmas is for his mum, Sarah, to be happy again. Moved by the boy's selfless wish, Nick arranges a date between Sarah and his best friend, Matt. But as Sarah and Alfie become part of all their lives, Nick realises that happiness for Sarah and Matt might mean heartbreak for himself.

Review: What a great story, I absolutely loved All I Want for Christmas. I am a big fan of Joanna Bolouri's books and once again, she has made me fall in love with her characters. I had so much fun with Nick, the main character in this story. After losing his job, he takes a temp job as Santa in a shopping centre and spends his days surrounded by very wild creatures, and I am not talking about deers here! Both his elves and the children are a great source of entertainment for us readers, but for him... not so much.

As you can imagine, the story made me laugh a lot. But it also had more serious notes, especially around single mum, Sarah, and her adorable son, Alfie. I loved them and rooted for them since page one and I really wanted the best for them. The friendship they formed with Nick was heartwarming.

Joanna Bolouri kept me on my toes for most of the story, as I really didn't know which way it was going to go until the very end. And I loved every minute of it!

All I Want for Christmas is a great book: original, fun and with Joanna Bolouri's special witty touch. The characters are spot on and the festive spirit is definitely there. I can only praise this story and I recommend it to absolutely everyone. One not to be missed, just go and get yourself a copy. You are in for a treat!

Today I am sharing my thoughts on the brand new full-length standalone romantic comedy from the bestselling author of Big Sexy Love, Kirsty Greenwood.

Blurb:
Nora Tucker is an admin assistant from a tiny English village.
Gary Montgomery is Hollywood’s hottest new star.

After seeing him on the silver screen, Nora believes that Gary is her soulmate, her one true love, the man she's supposed to grow old and wrinkly with. She knows it sounds nuts, she knows it’s completely crazy. But sometimes love is crazy, right?

Only... how on earth is this Plain Jane introvert supposed to get to Los Angeles, infiltrate Gary’s inner circle AND convince him that they’re meant to be? Throwing herself into this mission might be a tall order but it means Nora can stop thinking about that one awful day, two years ago, when everything in her life fell apart...

With the help of a sunny Californian weather girl, a super hot but super grumpy script writer, and a very passionate Adam Levine tribute act, Nora is about to try the impossible and let fate decide her future…

Review: If you have read any of Kirsty Greenwood's stories, you will know that they are full of laugh out loud moments and crazy adventures and He Will Be Mine is no exception. This time, we follow Nora Tucker to Los Angeles so she can meet the love of her life and Hollywood star, Gary Montgomery.

As you can imagine, meeting a super famous actor is not an easy task but Nora is determined. She is also pretty ingenious and quite charming so with the help of some new friends, she does manage to get quite close to Gary. But is he really the love of her life or just an excuse to actually not having to live her life?

I had a great time following Nora as we discovered the City of Angels with her. Some moments in the story were absolutely bonkers and had me in stitches. Nora was a very interesting and down to earth girl, so I liked her a lot. But I also enjoyed the more serious part of the book, like the reasons behind this adventure and how she was actually handling it. It was a very good balance, and it gave the story so much heart.

He Will Be Mine also had a good dash of magic and serendipity and took me by surprise several times. Kirsty Greenwood for sure knows how to write fun and entertaining stories. This is perfect escapism!
