A very bookish Christmas with Rachel

Hi Rachel and welcome to Alba in Bookland's festive feature. Let's start! Tell me, what was your best Christmas present from your teens?

By my teens, I was declared too old for presents my most of my family. So I normally even back then was receiving cash. If I recall for most of my teens, my parents agreed to buy me a couple of video games of my choice for Christmas, even if it took until the middle of the next year for the ones I wanted to be out. I loved my Nintendo consoles and handhelds. There is no present unfortunately that sticks out from my teens which thinking back is a bit of a sad thought.

A Christmas Carol you know by heart (but wish you didn’t):

The Christmas Carols I know by heart are all ones I like, hence having learnt them that well over the years. Possibly Silent Night if I had to chose just because I find it a slow, boring carol.

Best present for a bookworm:

If your bookworm doesn't already have an ebook reader, then that would be the best present. However if your bookworm is someone like me, a large Amazon voucher works well, as I would use it to buy a whole bunch of heavily discounted books at bargain prices in the Kindle Christmas sale.

Mince Pie, yay or nay?

Nay, I can't stand them. I'd love some Yule log though if you are offering!

Who played Santa Claus the best?
- Tim Allen in Santa Clause
- Tom Hanks in Polar Express
- Paul Giamatti in Fred Claus
- Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Santa Clause trilogy is amongst my favourite Christmas films of all time, so I have to go for Tim Allen. He is very believable as Santa, especially in the first two films.
Thank you Rachel for stopping by and answering all my festive questions! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
