Blurb: Bea Bishop is horrible at making decisions. Forget big life ones, even everyday choices seem to paralyse her. She's learned to live with this because experience has taught her that it doesn't matter what you do, no one has the power to control destiny. Anyone who believes they can is a fool. But as her wedding day approaches, her years of indecision are weighing heavily on her, and she can't help but wonder, 'What if, what if, what if….'
What if she hadn't upped sticks and moved to London? What if she hadn't grabbed the first job that came along and settled down with the first guy who showed an interest? But all of her questions are silenced when she slips while walking down the aisle and is knocked unconscious. In this split second her life splits into two: in one existence, Bea flees back down the aisle and out of the church. In the other she glides blissfully towards her intended.
But which story will lead to her happily ever after?

I kindly received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Review: After reading The First Last Kiss, I was really excited to read Written in the Stars, so when I received it, I did a little happy dance. Ali writes such beautiful and gripping stories and with this one, she didn't disappoint at all. I loved the cover, the concept, the characters and everything about it! The idea that Bea's life split in two on her wedding day and from that moment we could see how her life followed two completely different paths was genius, it had me wondering all the time what was going to happend next and I couldn't stop reading.

I instantly warmed to Bea, she was so fragile. Always depending on others to make her own decisions. Always looking for her missing part. It was so exciting to see her growing and start believing in herself. And the side characters were perfect: a crazy sex-guru mother, a strong and opinionated best friend, a caring brother, the gorgeous but tormented first love and the handsome Adam, workaholic, driven and with a huge heart.

But the best of this book for me is how the two completely different paths were somehow linked with each other. I love the idea that we have our place in the world and no matter what we will find our way to that perfect spot because it is written in the stars. Ali Harris is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors, with her special stories. She sure does know how to create a gripping book. You won't be able to put it down. Warning: huge book hangover! I'm still thinking about Bea and wondering if she is finally enjoying her life.
