Most Anticipated Sequels

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists over there at The Broke and the Bookish. I'd love to share my lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

This week was a Freebie and as this year a lot of sequels for amazing books are coming out, I decided to share my most anticipated sequels or follow-ups.
After You by Jojo Moyes - Me Before You is one of my all time favourite books so when Jojo announced that there was gonna be a sequel I could have been more excited. After You will out in September.
Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee - This lost manuscript by the author of To Kill a Mockingbird was only discovered later last year. It will be out in July and the expectation is high to say the least.
Frank Derrick's Holiday of a Lifetime by J.B. Morrison - Last year I read The Extra Ordinary Life of Frank Derrick, Age 81 and completely loved Frank and his story. I can't wait to find out how he's doing. This one is out next month.
I Knew You Were Trouble by Paige Toon - The second book in the Jessie Jefferson Series will be out in July and I am really looking forward to this one.
A Girl's Best Friend by Lindsey Kelk - The third installment of the "A Girl" Series will out in November and I am already dying to know how Tess Brookes is doing.
Jessica Beam by Kirsty Greenwood - The sequel of the fantastic The Vintage Guide to Love and Romance won't be out until next year but I'm already excited about it, imagine!

I think these are definitely my most anticipated sequels. What books are you waiting for?

  4. Great topic! I can't help but think Go Set a Watchman is the equivalent of the latest Harry Potter books being published when you were at school. I remember how important it was to read it as fast as possible to avoid spoilers being blurted out in your face too.

  5. Great list! I think most of the nation is eagerly awaiting Go Set a Watchman. I'm like #99 or something on a holds list of 400+ people at my library for it. And a sequel to Me Before You? I never would've imagined! I'll have to check that out. I made my list on "Top Ten Books I've Read So Far in 2015." Here's my TTT. Happy reading!

Fabulous post, as always. I totally agree with you. Me After You by JoJo Moyes has been firmly sat on my list since I heard about it! Me Before You was such a beautiful story so I can't wait to read a sequel, squeeee! ALSO, Kirsty Greenwood announced the title of the sequel to The Vintage Guide to Love and Romance today, 'The Vintage Guide to Getting Hitched'! I cannot wait to be back with the wonderful Jessica Beam, it's SO exciting! As is so often the way, my mind has now gone blank, but I'll return when I remember some more! ;) Thanks for another brilliant post Alba! xxxx

  8. Oh I didn't know there was a sequal to Me Before You, i loved that book so will have to check out After You. I'm also excited for Go Set a Watchman especially since Harper Lee wrote it around the same time as To Kill A Mockingbird so I think the hype will be justified!
