Blog Tour: The Plumberry School of Comfort Food by Cathy Bramley

Cathy Bramley is one of my all time favourite authors, I think that she hasn't written a word I haven't loved yet and her latest release, The Plumberry School of Comfort Food looks and sounds as amazing as her previous books (I've started reading the first few chapters and I'm already in love with the story).

To celebrate the publication of The Plumberry School of Comfort Food this week, fantastic bookblogger Zarina (@zarinatweets) asked Cathy some questions and she is answering them in different blogs. So you need to check every blog to know more Cathy, her books and her writing!

Here's my question:

What are some of the biggest differences between self-publishing and traditional publishing that people who are undecided about which route to take might not know about yet?

There are so many differences and publishing is evolving all the time. I know many indie-publishers who wouldn’t have it any other way. However, I’m proud to be traditionally published and the differences which have the biggest impact on me are: having an editor who is guiding not just the writing of this book, but managing the ‘Cathy Bramley’ brand, coaxing me to challenge myself and mentoring me through sticky patches; working with a marketing team who totally get my books, help me gain and retain a loyal readership and bring my books alive; having a sales team who develop my brand, not just in the UK but abroad, and also in different formats such as audiobooks and large print library editions.

About the book:

Title: The Plumberry School of Comford Food
Author: Cathy Bramley
Published: June 30th 2016 by Corgi

Blurb: The Plumberry School of Comfort Food was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package.

Verity Bloom hasn't been interested in cooking anything more complicated than the perfect fish finger sandwich, ever since she lost her best friend and baking companion two years ago.

But an opportunity to help a friend lands her right back in the heart of the kitchen. The Plumberry School of Comfort Food is due to open in a few weeks' time and needs the kind of great ideas that only Verity could cook up. And with new friendships bubbling and a sprinkling of romance in the mix, Verity finally begins to feel like she's home.

But when tragedy strikes at the very heart of the cookery school, can Verity find the magic ingredient for Plumberry while still writing her own recipe for happiness?

A heartwarming and romantic story certain to make you smile - perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Trisha Ashley and Katie Fforde.
