As you can imagine, meeting a super famous actor is not an easy task but Nora is determined. She is also pretty ingenious and quite charming so with the help of some new friends, she does manage to get quite close to Gary. But is he really the love of her life or just an excuse to actually not having to live her life? 

I had a great time following Nora as we discovered the City of Angels with her. Some moments in the story were absolutely bonkers and had me in stitches. Nora was a very interesting and down to earth girl, so I liked her a lot. But I also enjoyed the more serious part of the book, like the reasons behind this adventure and how she was actually handling it. It was a very good balance, and it gave the story so much heart.

He Will Be Mine also had a good dash of magic and serendipity and took me by surprise several times. Kirsty Greenwood for sure knows how to write fun and entertaining stories. This is perfect escapism!

I have just finished this lovely book and although it is set in the fictional Cornish village of Polwhipple, this story captures perfectly the beauty of the Cornish scenery: golden sandy beaches, ice-cream parlours, surfers and a great community spirit. It also mentions real locations like neighbouring town Newquay or the historical Bodmin railway with it murder mystery nights.

A truly special and magical story that will bring lots of sunshine to your life. Mojácar is a little town on the south coast of Spain and a hidden gem full of stories, laughs, love, beautiful views and a bit of magic. I had never heard about it before reading this story, but as usual, Isabelle Broom has convinced me to visit asap.

The Legacy of Lucy Harte: South of France

This novel by Emma Heatherington is one of those stories that not only touches you but also inspires you to enjoy life and don't get lost in the minor details and obstacles. It also raises awareness in a very important issue, that is organ donors. And a great part of it is set in the beautiful south of France, with the amazing Millau Viaduct playing a big role. 

This is a very heart-warming and fun story by debut author Jenna Evans Welch that will make you want to take the first plane to Italy. The characters are very well developed and interesting and thanks to them we get to discover the beautiful Tuscany and the stunning Florence. Reading about their adventures in the north of Italy is a real treat and you really feel like you are there with them.

If you also love travelling through time, then you'll love Dinah Jefferies' new book. With Before the Rains she takes us to India in the twenties. With her generous and mesmerising descriptions, it's easy to picture that era, with its rich royal families and water palaces, all contrasting with the extreme poverty of its people. A mesmerising read.

If you are looking for a darker read but you still want to explore a new country, then this is perfect for you. With a really face paced and descriptive narrative, C.L. Taylor takes you in a dark and scary journey to Nepal. As you read (a better way to put it would be devour) this thriller, you soon realise that you have no idea what is going to happen next, and even less who you can trust.

With Paige Toon's latest book, we get to visit not only one destination but two! Half the book is set in beautiful Cornwall and a very important part is set in stunning Thailand. Perfect, isn't it? Plus, this book and its characters are brilliant. A story like no other. It made me cry, it made me laugh, but above all, it made me care.

This is the third book in The Lonely Hearts Travel Club Series and after loving Georgia's adventures in Thailand and in India, I was really looking forwards to joining her in her new adventure. Katy Colins does a great job describing this new place to us. She has a special way of making you picture yourself there, walking in the streets of Santiago or taking selfies with a llama. She certainly knows how to spark my wanderlust.

The first time I went up The Top of the Rock, I fell a bit in love with this city.

Today I'm reviewing the super fun story Big Sexy Love, Kirsty Greenwood's 3rd book. This came out a couple of weeks ago and it's the perfect holiday read. Here are my thought on it, I'm sure after reading it, you'll get your own copy.

Review: I love Kirsty Greenwood's stories because they are always crazy, full of laugh out loud moments and with really lovable characters. So I was very excited about Big Sexy Love. Now that I have read it, let me tell you, this story is a whole new level of craziness and brilliance. 

I absolutely loved this book and its characters, especially Olive. She is very happy with her life and her routine. Or that's what she thinks... until she embarks in the adventure of a lifetime in New York. Her life back home suddenly doesn't seem as exciting. 

As we follow Olive around New York, it is difficult not to fall in love with her and her sense of humor. She manages to find herself in the most absurd situations. Seriously, they are so absurd that they are just hilarious. Every time I thought she couldn't possibly get into more trouble, she did. But she always finds a way to make it work and along the way, she makes some really great friends. 

These friends are definitely something else. From the eccentric billionaire to the goofy comedy writer, they all stole a bit of my heart and made the perfect companions for this crazy adventure. 

If you are looking for a really fun read to escape for a few hours to the amazing New York, then look no further! Big Sexy Love will definitely become your own big sexy love. Perfect holiday read, laughs guaranteed, but also a lot of heart and some tears. What else can you ask for?

Letters to the Lost by Iona Grey. An epic love story that made me cry a lot (in public places). This will probably be the debut of the year for me, so beautifully written and such a moving story. Also, it would make such a fantastic movie.

Review: The Vintage Guide to Love and Romance is the book everyone is talking about, the book everyone is loving unconditionally. And now I know why. Do you want to know why too? Well, because it is da bomb! If you want to laugh uncontrollably for hours and fall in love with a book, a story, all its characters and its author, go get it immediately. By the end of this book all you'll be able to do is wish and pray to all gods that Jessica Beam was your best friend and maybe that you grandma was as ladylike and cool at the same time as Matilda Beam too. 

Jessica Beam is nothing like your regular Chick Lit heroine (which I think makes you love her even more). She's a party animal and doesn't know the meaning of the word responsibilities. So, when she loses her job and consequently her home (as she was working for her best friend and roommate) it's not hard to imagine all her friends (already married and with kids and very fond of the word responsibilities) turning their backs to her. So she ends up tracking down a long lost grandmother. 

Matilda Beam was every woman's (and man's) dream in the fifties. So she wrote a series of Good Woman guides to help women be ladylike and land a good husband and she became quite the celebrity. But now she has come down in the world and all she has left is a mountain of debts and a very naive but cute assistant. 

As you can imagine, if you mix together these two the result can only be a hilarious tale full of heart, corsets and some pointy bras that will capture you. I think there was not a thing in this book I didn't love. Also, every chapter started with a small piece written by Matilda in the fifties that relates to the chapter following. I found this detail genius as it also made you understand her better and see how different society was back then. 

I can't end this review though without mentioning the male characters (yes, plural, with Jessica, what did you expect?). Ok, mentioned. (To know more, read the book, you won't be disappointed).

The Vintage Guide of Love and Romance is like a breath of fresh air. Unexpected, quirky and hilarious, I am sure it'll be one of the books of the year (it'll certainly be one of mine). And Kirsty Greenwood will now have the privilege of being one of my favourite authors of all time. 

And the best thing is that there's more Jessica Beam to come! (Not as good is that we have to wait one year... but I'm sure it'll be totally worth it).
